The PI members of both the Group of Vision and Colour and the Research Group on Polymers and Nanomaterials Analysis, Francisco M. Martínez and Mª Carmen Garrigós, were interviewed at the UA local radio. The radio program aims to disseminate science to the wider audience and devoted 30 min to ask about the rationale, scope and structure of the BARBARA project.
This monday, The 11th national forum on industrial applications of nanotechnology was held at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. TECNO was there, presenting the most recent applications of nanotechnology in the manufacture of biopolymer pieces with advanced aesthetical properties, either within the BARBARA as well as in other nanotechnoogy reated projects of the strat-up company. In the BARBARA project, different pigments, antimicrobials and fragrance compounds are being incorporated into layered nanoclays at the nanoscale level.
The European Bio-based industries joint undertaking (BBI-JU) organized the BBI Stakeholders day on the 6th and 7th of December in Brussels. This Stakeholder Forum was a one-day public event dedicated to engaging directly in dialogue with BBI JU’s stakeholders. All 65 BBI approved projects were exhibited to the open public in different stands on December 7th.
