The department of Vision and Colour at the University of Alicante (UA) hosted the International Pigment & Colour Science Forum and TiO2 World Summit last week. Both, Francisco Miguel Martínez Verdú, head of the department of Vision and Colour and main organizer of the events, as well as Alfonso Jiménez, head of the Nanobiopol group in the UA, presented the BARBARA project as an example of potential application of natural dyes extracted from agro-waste residues into automotive parts and building materials.

Combining more than 25 years of experience in working with the titanium dioxide supply chain and the industrial pigments and colourants sectors, both conferences provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of what's happening in the industries, future opportunities and much more.
Last year held in Cleveland, US, fore-front companies in the sector, such as Tronox, Cristal, Iluka Resources, Chemours, Billions Europe, PPG, Ford Motor Company, Sherwin-Williams, Apple, L’Oréal, BASF, Estee Lauder, A. Schulman and many more, joined RTDs and developers in the joint conferences.
